I have seen Lámh signs used daily when working in a Special School as a substitute teacher...It was wonderful to see the children using them effectively, where verbal communication was difficult for some.

One of my first encounters with Lámh was when a service visited the child I work with in the preschool. They approached him and said “hello”, used the sign for “hello” and he quickly responded using the sign. Throughout our session that morning, I witnessed him responding to them using Lámh signs and was fascinated by it.
