Our mission is to encourage everybody to communicate using Lámh signing through education, awareness raising and resources. Lámh can be a stepping stone to communicating with the world. Approximately 5000 people complete Lámh courses each year, in the last five years alone, 24,000 people have trained in Lámh sign. Grace Park Educate Together National School: 15th October 2025 - ‘Sharing the Lámh’ on Lámh Day

As part of Lámh Day 2025 celebrations, students from the Lámh Committee at Grace Park Educate Together National School (ETNS) were interviewed about how they celebrated the theme ‘Share the Lámh’. They demonstrated their understanding of signing by singing ‘Days of the Week’. The segment also showed the schools’ commitment to creating a school-wide Lámh signing environment to facilitate inclusion, where Lámh user Alfie teaches his friends in 2nd Class how to use signs.

Fionn's Story - Building Confidence Through Lámh

Ceire Rochford is mother to two beautiful boys, Fionn who is six and Odhran who is four. Ceire shares Fionn’s story with us: “Fionn was born in February 2012 and diagnosed with Down Syndrome a number of days after birth. From a very early age, Fionn would try to communicate with anyone that held him: looking deeply into their eyes, following their gaze, making sounds and reaching out. It was obvious that there was lots of personality in there that needed to find a way to burst forth. And that it did… thanks to Lámh.
